Our ideal candidate will relish opportunities to share their knowledge and coach others who may have less experience, so excellent communication skills and professional judgment are required.
This candidate will be required to: - Participate in the design and development of Innovation Lab projects with a cross-functional team. Lead the technical aspects of these projects. - Be the senior developer for projects, in addition to assisting with architectural design. Code prototypes and example cases for presentation to the business units and customers. - Build and maintain relationships with various engineering teams to ensure idea, technology and process flow is happening effectively. - Evangelize the value of innovation and propagate Innovation Lab learning throughout organization. - Work effectively in cross-functional and multi-location teams, possessing a good understanding of the business constraints. - Coordinate architectural components with business unit product development teams to determine the appropriate technical strategy to meet new product needs and continued maintenance needs. - Research and disseminate information on new and emerging technologies. - Identify similarities between projects, Intuit's product portfolio, 3rd party products and industry trends to improve project quality and time to market. Recommend specific paths to exploit these similarities. - Manage, develop and coach our other engineers - Some travel is required to sites where are BU's are located. This job is based in Mountain View.

Your Talents:
|
- BSCS/EE or MSCS/EE plus minimum of 5 years relevant work experience - Deep mobile expertise developing on the Apple iOS and/or Google Android platforms is required. - 4+ years experience in technical leadership role (self-directed). - Technical breadth and depth, high-level analytical skills, and significant successful experience working directly with engineers, marketing teams, business and financial analysts, and product managers. - Experience with standard development languages and environments, like .Net, C/C++, Objective C, Java, SQL Server Windows, and Linux. Desktop development and experience building quick prototypes and test applications preferred. - Ability to quickly understand the broad range of technologies that Intuit uses and creates, and the relationship of each technology to Intuit's businesses. - Great business sense. Strategic thinking is required, but with a bias toward action. - Extraordinary communication and presentation skills required. Must have excellent influence & negotiation skills. - Ability to work in new areas, where roles and processes are not completely defined. Must have experience participating in role and process definitions. - Experience working with executives & senior managers in a distributed, cross-functional, and highly matrixed environment. - Experience with consumer or mass market products preferred. - Experience participating in new product development initiatives preferred.
